Krista Dubie (Misty’s 50’s): shows up late for every game but on defence…..she’s always in the right place at the right time!!!

* Darlene Robinson (Country Way): goalie- warrior extraordinaire and shut-out queen. Rookie of the year! Never complains and always delivers…the Country Way!

Great Lakes Honda Player of the Week!
Amy “Amistar” Jolicoeur (Country Way): she played hard to secure a strong win against the Canines. She moved like the wind, being in the right spots at all times. Woohoo Amistar!

(and a sponsor to boot!) * Shannon McLeod (Lafarge): for her superb job playing defence against OC. She’s small but mighty! You rock, Shannon!! * Bar1’s: Oh how hard it is to pick 1 player in a team sport. After a great season- Bar 1’s selects TEAM BAR 1 ! * Jennifer McLeod (North to Adventure): 1st career goal! With all those 3’s, we’re expecting a hat trick or two out of her playoffs!! * Leslie Wright (North to Adventure): who always plays with focus, grit, speed and determination * Heidi Haldemann (Great Lakes Honda): for her constant effort at defending our lines! *Stella Concil (Palmer Paving): for her “stella-r” performance!

You can always count on her to have the opposition covered when she’s on “D” * Kim Morin (Bar 1’s): for showing up, playing a great defensive game, keeping shots to a minimum – and all with a sore back!! Great effort and great team support…Remember Robaxacet & beer!! * Tammy Graham (Algoma Insurance): for her “squeeker” goal adding “insurance” for the win and her great team work both on and off the ice. * Sarah Finn (Misty’s 50’s): by Default- the rest of the team played with their helmets on backwards and their skates on the wrong feet!!! * Tanya Thompson (Great Lakes Honda): a Fun League goalie steps up and plays amazingly in the Middle League…thanks for a great game Tanya!!! * Deanna Jones (Country Way): making the play of the week by sliding on her knees to deflect a shot on net, followed by a goal!!! * Monique Pascall (Fisher Wavy): AGAIN!!! For always giving her greatest effort! Nice glove save too!!! * Lynn Mazzonello (ABC): the fearless Captain- for always giving it her best effort and skating her *@@ off to catch Ruscio Speedsters! * Annette Kazmierczak (North to Adventure): “Kaz” is our “Taz-manian” daredevil who scored her 1st goal & makes the game a tie against the 1st place team!!! Sabrina Eklund (Algoma Insurance): for her consistent bursts of energy, from playing at the blue line defending to getting great opportunities at the net to score. Keep digging Sabrina!

*Laurie Bifano (Ruscio Developments): for her great defense skills and clearing the puck. * Christine ( AKA Rosie) Trivers (Roadhouse): always hardworking and a real team player! * Shawna Nichols (Lafarge); she was their pick-up player, on recommendation from her sister-in-law, and helped the team slam Algoma Insurance 5-2 with her 2 spectacular goals!! * Catherine Maccarone( ABC): for leading her team to a well earned victory. * Shannon Irwin ( Eazy Express): for her 1st ever WHL HAT TRICK- in a 4-4 tie! Donelda Chartrand (Eazy Express): scored the only goal but should have had at least one more-hardest worker for Eazy without a doubt in Sunday’s 1-1 tie!

Awesome! * Sherry “Turbo-Sherbo” Boston: a “howitzer”of a shot- in & out so fast not even the ref saw it!!! * Sarah McLeod (Algoma Insurance): for her grit, determination and giving 100% all the time. Great effort!! * Brenda Huibers (Lafarge): simply because she has been staying out of the penalty box! What’s up with that??!! * Judy Biocchi (North to Adventure): congrats on her 1st “official” goal & keeping the game as a tie with the 1st place team!! Way to go!!! * Heather O’Toole (Misty’s 50’s): outstanding effort for the entire game, especially in the dying minutes to help set up the tying goal! * Patti Lutz (Algoma Insurance): for her awesome defense footwork save and overall hard work on the ice. * Cori Anderson-Dyke (Eazy Express): she played a solid game on Defense and was rewarded with her 1st ever WHL goal- from the blue line no less!!! * Rae Caruso (Ruscio Developments): she’s great on defense: gets the puck out and she’s a great puck handler too! * Lorie Bellini (Crawford Canines): for playing well. * Sue Dunn (Lafarge): for her spectacular dive to keep the puck in the opponent’s end. That girl has no fear!! * Julie Favaro (Country Way): she was everywhere at all the right times: she scored her 1st goal in 2 years and gave the opponent goalie a run for her money!!! * Trish Irvine (Roadhouse): for returning with a bang and leading the team in several categories! * Brianna Bordeleau (Fisher Wavy): she showed off her skills (she usually plays D) and created opportunities for her team! * “Rookie” Rickman (Roadhouse): she slams her 1st career goal in with conviction! * Katie Healy (Verdi Hall): for watching the Mighty Ducks before their game and gaining inspiration which spilled out over into their game! * Franci Rogers (Ruscio Developments): for her several rushes to the net and scoring a remarkable goal!!! * Jane Longo (ABC): for getting the one and only goal Sunday night! * Krista Dubie (Misty’s 50’s): for her intimidating and outstanding defense on their Sunday night game. Kelly Nelson (Lafarge): her 2 goals gave the team their first win of 2011 and gave Nancy Dewling another shut out! (The team thinks it was her Costco hockey tape!) Honourable Mentions:
* Tracey Cudmore (Algoma Insurance): for her grit, determination and hard work during the entire game * Darlene Robinson (Country Way): she’s an awesome goalie: many shots on net but she moved like the wind and kept the team safe & sound. Great playing for her 1st year in net! * Danielle Marchand (Ontario Concrete): “she falls down…and gets back up again”nice backhander in the net! * Jennifer Sears (Great Lakes Honda): she proves that you really don’t need a stick to play hockey….great foot work Jenn!! * Angie Sackville (Palmer Paving): for netting the winning goal- See what happens when you show up??!! * Billy Jean Duke (ABC): for her dedicated hockey research and then bringing it to the ice! * Liz McKay (BDO): for her great transition from D to Forward with 2 goals!!!
